Primitive Farmhouse Christmas Patio Decorating!!

I love Christmas! And I love decorating our primitive farmhouse for Christmas! I mean for 250 years people have been bringing love and cheer to this home. First they used fruit and wore old gowns and wool work clothes as they huddled around the fire and beehive oven and cooked their warm comfort foods like stew and what now - all gathered from the field! Now we use one of our ovens for our holiday meals. They didn't have the beauty of electric lights back in the day but I'm using them now to make my patio warm and inviting on a cold winter's day!

We started by gathering a tree from the tree farm! Tom had to put it on the back of the truck and it was super heavy - because afterall, I could have a BIG tree if it wasn't going indoors.
To account for wind, we put large rocks around the base to hold it in place - hopefully that will work - sometimes the wind whips around on that little section surrounded by home.

After we got that up we set out to put lights on all the trees! It was a bit tricky because we only have one outlet on the outside of the house in the front of the building. The electrician said we could have another for $350 but an extension cord is a lot less so we went with that!
