What Russian Peasants Wore
Between 1927-1947 when our home was an active restaurant called "The Russian Bear" the staff dressed up in 1800's Russian peasant clothing. From the pictures it appears as if the costumes were white with lots of embroidered, colorful details. This was the Bear's way of honoring the colonial roots in which this house was built and it added to the exciting atmosphere of the establishment.
